Lovepickle and Lovechutney were launched in January 2013 by Michael Sohel to create his own food brand after leaving behind his management career in the City. He developed the idea to bring to market an old family recipe that has been enjoyed by family and friends over the years – a unique chilli tomato pickle.
“Encouragement from family and friends has led me to embark on this venture and to share a pickle that I have enjoyed for many years. I am passionate and excited about Lovepickle and truly believe that the result is a quality product that delivers on taste, texture and appearance that Indian and spicy food fans will enjoy as an accompaniment to a variety of foods.”
Lovepickle won a Great Taste Award and a National Chilli Award for Best Pickle (FFUK) in its first year of trading. “It’s a tremendous achievement and brings a valuable element of credibility to a quality and great tasting product. We hope to build on the strength of winning the awards and look forward to developing the business and the Lovepickle and Lovechutney range”.
Available in mild, medium, hot, extra hot and super hot.
The Lovepickle and Lovechutney range is produced in Yorkshire, using local suppliers where possible, and is handmade using traditional methods.
